01Our story

From a Bachelor's project to a robotics platform.

  1. Stage 01

    Beginning

    A Bachelor's project at IIT Ropar led to the development of the initial robotic concept, involving Chirag Jain, Sahil Khan and Dr. Khushboo Rakha.

  2. Stage 02

    Building the technology

    The project evolved into a broader agricultural robotics platform combining mobility, sensing, control and precision intervention.

  3. Stage 03

    Moving toward the field

    Spica is now developing and prototyping agricultural robotic systems at IIT Ropar, with support through funding from MeitY, Government of India.

Developing the technology inside a research environment.

Spica originated from research at IIT Ropar and continues to develop and prototype its agricultural robotic systems there.

The development has received funding from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Institutional and government logos are used only where permission has been granted.
